Jamie Possum and WWF - New Zealand

 

WWF-NZ is committed to the protection of New Zealand’s native flora and fauna. This means that it promotes the eradication of this invasive and highly destructive, alien species.

 

As part of its commitment, it supports the country’s fledgling possum fibre industry.

 

Your purchase of possum products is the first link in a chain which leads back to special projects and other efforts going on in New Zealand, day after day, to create safe, possum free environments.

 

However, WWF-NZ does not specifically endorse Jamie Possum or any other company working with possum. It supports the use of possum fur in general.

 

Also while WWF-NZ is a charity and needs our continuing financial support, the businesses working with possum are not. They are, for the most part, small, family run firms created by people with a strong personal commitment to protecting new Zealand’s unique ecology.
